A Guide to Malaga
A city which has been around for over 2 Millennia and inhabited by many different nations Malaga is a city which is steeped in history yet it still keeps in touch with modernity. Overlooking the city is the beautiful castle of Gibralfaro which if you are looking for the best view of the city then the castle is where you must go.
At the heart of the city is the beautiful cathedral which is still unfinished and has earned the title of La Manquita. It is a fantastic piece of Romanesque architecture and the interior is decorated with fantastic art work from around the region. There are many other churches in the area which are all worth a look as they show the beautiful styles of the times that they were built such as the Santa Cristo de la Salud.
You must try and make it to the city’s Fine Arts Museum which has some wonderful paintings and art work from the region from throughout history. Malaga is a top tourist destination and so is used to visitors coming to its walls and welcomes them with open arms and is a perfect place to come while on your travels.
