A Guide to Cadiz

Located in the south of the country the city of Cadiz is one of the oldest settlements in Spain. Like Almeria the ruler of the city of Cadiz has changed throughout history. There have been many different influences on the city including those of the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Visigoths and Muslims.

There are many sites to see in Cadiz including the Costa de la Luz as well as the stunning Donana Natural Park, which has been deemed a world heritage site. The city is a major fishing town and to this fact the city has some of the best seafood in the country. And for all those who love to just relax the city has some of the most stunning beaches not just in the region but in the country as well most notably the Playa de la Caleta and Playa de la Victoria.

The city of Cadiz is one of the most picturesque cities in the region and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country and is a must visit for any holiday to the country.
