A Guide to Clermont Ferrand

Located at the northern tip of the Massif Central the town of Clermont has many sites to see. The most stunning of which is the Cathedrale Notre Dame, which is situated at the centre of the town. Predominantly Gothic in style the Cathedral is beautiful and its main beauty lies in its interior decoration with fantastic rose and stained glass windows and there are remnants of frescos dating back to the medieval period.

There are a few museums in the area including the Musee d’Art Roger-Quillot, which contains over 2000 works of art dating back throughout history. The town has a brilliant nightlife perfect for those who enjoy partying long into the night. There are many restaurants serving delicious cuisines from the area and are ready to cater for your every need.

Clermont Ferrand is a pretty town ideal for a day or couple of days visit and a must stop off point whenever you are in the area.
