Description |
Ravello is situated on the stunning Amalfi coast and is widely regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful and enchanting coastlines.
Picturesque hill-towns cling to the rugged limestone cliffs that plunge dramatically into the crystal waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
Narrow alleys carved between stucco-fronted houses and a deluge of steps, mellowed by the years, will guide you to the Hotel Caruso. Stone lions guard its entrance, but dont be afraid, they will let you in to admire the ornamented column of the pillared hall.

Divine is the most used adjective to describe the Amalfi Coast "Costiera Amalfitana", a coast stretch which links Positano to Vietri sul Mare, lying at the gates of Salerno. On its steep rocky slopes the Mediterranean bush, unique in the world for its variety and colours, blooms. Here and there, villages of little houses close to each other, surrounded by gardens and cultivated terraces, testify the human presence and work. It is a presence rich in history and culture, which is still alive today, among so many artistic memories of the past.
Amalfi endowed the West not only with instruments, such as the compass, but also with ideas such as rudiments of the navigation law and a masterly commercial skill which also represents and perhaps, above all, a lesson of tolerance and open-mindedness towards strangers. From these roots the affable hospitality of the people of the Costiera Amalfitana.
