A Guide to Toulouse

Like Paris, Lyon and Marseille, Toulouse is one of the largest and most vibrant cities in the country. It has become the countries leading manufacturer in hi tech industry. Toulouse has become the aviation capital of France as well as Europe and has become home to the European shuttle program as well as many other programs. Toulouse has 110 000 students making only Paris having a larger university.

One of the best places to visit during your stay in Toulouse is the Place du Capitole opposite the town hall with the town hall opposite. The Place is fantastic on Wednesdays when the market is held showing food and drink unique to the country and many other bits and pieces perfect for souvenirs.

The city is home to one of the top rugby teams in the country winning the European cup on numerous occasions and playing a exciting brand of running rugby to keep an onlooker entertained.

There is the fantastic Georges Labit Museum, which shows a collection of Egyptian and Oriental art. And for all those horticulturists there are the Jardin des Plantes which are especially beautiful in full bloom during the summer.

Toulouse is one of France’s biggest cities and is a perfect place to visit while in the region and is one of France’s top cities.
