France Aquitaine

A Guide to Bordeaux

Historically a wealthy trading centre dating back to the Roman times and is still a wealthy city even today. It is based along the River Garonne and its centre dates back to the eighteenth Century and there are many daunting buildings in the centre not to mention the Cathedral a beautiful building and is definitely worth visiting as is the wonderful Esplanade des Quinconces which is a beautiful colonnade and there is the Jardin Public which is beautiful especially in summer and full bloom and also contains some of the few Roman remains left in the city.

Bordeaux is a famous city in the Aquitaine region with a long history and is a perfect venue for a few days sight seeing.
