- The rail service is the perfect method to travel around France. It is reliable, quick and safe from the stress of driving.
- The TGV service runs between the major cities in France with the smaller SCNF trains stopping at the smaller towns.
- The train service is also fantastic for those who are travelling throughout Europe as there are services which link up with many of the major European cities such as Brussels, Milan, Berlin and Berne.
- The Metro in Paris is the perfect way to get around and explore in Paris. Parisian roads are difficult for those not used to them and the Metro is a cheap, efficient and convenient way to navigate the city with stops at every major attraction in the city.
- There are also a number of over land trains connected to the metro system which take you to many of the different historical sites on offer in the Parisian suburbs, most notably the Palace at Versailles.
- While in France you should buy a France Rail Pass which allows three days of free travel over a month long period which gives you the chance to explore France on fantastic day trips.
