What is a DT Guru?
A DT Guru is a travel writer or photographer who has had their work featured on Destination-Traveler.com. We're looking for talented travel writers and photographer who'd like to make a name for themselve as an industry expert. Guru's are recognised for each of the five countries on Destination-Traveler.com (Spain, Italy, France, USA and Mexcico).

Destination Traveler's DT Guru challenge is perfect for those who would like to be a professional travel writer, as well as those who like to write about the places they have visited as a hobby. Gaining real-world experience is vital to any CV, and the DT Guru challenge gives you the chance to work on your writing style and enhance your portfolio. But whether you write for personal or vocational reasons, you'll still be rewarded with your DT Guru badge as well as access to our exclusive DT Guru Facebook page, ideal for networking with other aspiring writers and photographers, and sharing tips and resources.
How do I become a DT Guru?
You can become a DT Guru simply by writing a suitable article and sending us your best travel photo for your favourite destinations in the USA, France, Italy, Spain or Mexico. Once you have been featured in your chosen country across six or more cities (must include one article and one photograph per city), you will receive your DT Guru badge for that country.
Its easy to do, and even easier to show off your DT Guru badge on your travel blog or online portfolio! We'll send you exclusive HTML snippet for you to add to your blog/website, showing your peers and potential employers that you've had your work featured publicly.
How to submit articles: Simply find your chosen destination on Destination Traveler.com and submit your review or article using the 'Write an article' link.
How to submit photographs: Send any photographs to admin@destination-traveler.com. Please clearly state the city and country.
Please ensure that you use the same email for each submission as your Guru status is linked to your email address.
