Description |
Location. The Kehoe House, a 15,000 square foot Revival style mansion in downtown Savannah, Ga., sits within four blocks of the shopping on River Street, five blocks of Jepson Center for the Arts, six blocks of City Market and one mile of Forsyth Park. The Savannah International Airport is 17 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Eighteen fireplaces adorn the interior of the mansion, with high ceilings, crown molding, antiques and hardwood flooring. Guests can retire to the parlor, music room or formal dining area after a full day of activity. The Grand Bohemian Gallery features artwork, glass and jewelry. Complimentary amenities include newspapers, breakfast and passes to a nearby fitness center. The concierge can assist guests at the 24 hour front desk, and meeting space, business services and audiovisual equipment are available on site. The hotel features an on site fitness room or a the spa.
Guestrooms. Thirteen guestrooms are distributed among five floors, all accessible from an elevator, and offer a peaceful ambience with bright colors, hardwood floors, armoires, turndown service and European linens. Wireless Internet access, bottled water, cable television, minibars and complimentary toiletries are included in all guestrooms.
Expert Tip. William Kehoe, originally of Ireland, built this residence in 1892 to accommodate his expanding family of 10 children and many grandchildren. Today, the Kehoe House is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
