Description

Location. The streamlined Omni San Diego Hotel (Calif.) is connected via sky bridge to Petco Park. The hotel is located four miles from San Diego International Airport, across the street from the San Diego Convention Center and adjacent to the Gaslamp Quarter, a San Diego historic area with century old Victorian buildings, eclectic restaurants, shops, art galleries and nightclubs. The hotel is within one block of the city's trolley line, which provides convenient transportation to Old Town, Qualcomm Stadium and the Mexican border.
Hotel Features. This hotel features a complimentary fitness center with cardiovascular and weight training equipment, and an expansive outdoor terrace located on the sixth floor that contains a heated pool and spa, stone fireplace, fountain and adjacent bar with plasma televisions. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel and a 24 hour business center includes computers with complimentary high speed Internet access. An escalator leads to the sky bridge, several floors of meeting space and the terrace. McCormick & Schmick's, Terrace Bar & Grill and Morsel's offer on site dining.

Guestrooms. The Omni San Diego Hotel is housed in a 32 story building. Floors 22 32 are private condominiums and all 511 hotel guestrooms are located on floors 5 21. Rooms feature skyline or bay views. Beds have double pillowtop mattresses, down comforters and Egyptian cotton linens. Additional amenities include flat screen televisions, CD and DVD players and minibars. Wireless and high speed Internet access is complimentary. Web TV is also available. Every guestroom has electronic safes that accommodate laptops. Complimentary newspapers are delivered on weekdays.

Expert Tip. The Omni displays a collection of baseball memorabilia that includes Babe Ruth's 1932 contract, a vintage gray flannel Negro League jersey and a pair of worn down cleats from 1941 that DiMaggio sported during his famed 56 game hitting streak.
