Location. Palmer House Hilton is located one half block from Millennium Park, on State Street within the Chicago (Ill.) Loop business and theater districts. The Art Institute of Chicago is two blocks from the hotel. Within one mile are the Tribune Tower, Wrigley Building and Sears Tower.
Hotel Features. Executive rooms include complimentary breakfasts and evening receptions, a private concierge and $50 gift certificates to Landau.
Hotel Expert's Tip. Two 24 carat gold angels greeted me as I walked into the grand lobby of the Palmer House Hilton. I paused, enamored by the ceilings of this lobby candelabras designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany, 14 carat gold leaf paint guilds and Greek mythology frescoes restored by Lido Lippi, who helped recondition the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
