The boutique Carlyle Inn stands in one of West L.A.'s older residential and business districts, only a mile from Beverly Hills, seven miles from Hollywood and 10 miles from Santa Monica beach. Named after the 19th century poet Thomas Carlyle, known for his appreciation of elegance, comfort and the "art of living well," the European style hotel is close to the renowned Rodeo Drive tony shopping district, the Sunset Strip, Century City, the Beverly Center, Melrose and downtown Los Angeles.
Original signed art, posters and prints are displayed throughout the four story Carlyle, which features a private garden court and patio, outdoor spa, fitness room and use of a fitness center two blocks away.
