Description |
Location. Set in Nashville, Tenn.'s West End district and across the street from Vanderbilt University, the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel delivers a unique Music City experience. A few blocks from Hillsboro Village's restaurants, the hotel is one mile from Music Row and downtown Nashville.
Hotel Features. The marbled, lobby features a vintage jukebox. Neon signs promote the on site restaurant and bar, appropriately called "Eat" and "Drink," while 12 foot tall birds of paradise plants and white columns lend the space a stately grace. "Eat" serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, while "Drink" features live jazz piano nightly. The lobby level is also the venue for an art gallery, a clothing boutique, a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and CG's Salon & Day Spa. This hotel hosts innumerable conventions and meetings, with its 24,000 square feet of flexible rooms. At the Loews' business center, Internet access is offered for a fee. Public spaces within the hotel offer complimentary wireless Internet access. The property encourages exercise with a 24 hour fitness center where flat panel televisions grace each stationary bicycle and complimentary juice is offered.
Guestrooms. Sporting sunset colored hues of orange and red, guestrooms are vibrantly spacious with 300 thread count sheets and thick mattresses. Accommodations boast CD players and fax machines, bathrobes and slippers. Three custom CDs feature songs recorded by celebrity guests. Additional amenities include stocked minibars, designer toiletries, complimentary newspapers and makeup mirrors. Refrigerators and turndown services are available upon request.
Expert Tip. Hillsboro Village is a collection of shops, boutiques and restaurants. Among the popular haunts are the Pancake Pantry, a Nashville staple serving up sugary favorites for 50 years; Bookman, the city's renowned used bookstore; and Provence, which bakes dozens of inventive varieties of breads daily.
