Description |
Location. The Hilton Fort Wayne @ Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., was built in 1984 and renovated in 2004. It is three miles from Indiana Purdue University, two and one half miles from the Wizards stadium and two blocks from Lincoln Museum. A complimentary shuttle is available to and from the airport, Glenbrook Mall, Jefferson Point and other local restaurants and attractions. Fort Wayne International Airport is six miles away.
Hotel Features. The Hilton Fort Wayne @ Grand Wayne Convention Center is adjacent to the Fort Wayne Convention Center and provides amenities such as an indoor pool and an exercise center featuring six aerobic machines, nautilus equipment and free weights. The hotel restaurant, Lombard's Steakhouse, offers steaks, appetizers and cocktails in front of the fireplace. Expert Tip. Across the street is the Historic Embassy Theater which has maintained much of it's 1920s glamour. Bob Hope got his first emcee shot at the Embassy, then named the Emboyd, for an audience that included celebrities such as Doris Day and Tony Bennett. Today, the Embassy is best known for shows from musicals and orchestras to the avant garde.
