Description

Set within the resort and golf community of Marina Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta affords panoramic views of mountain rimmed Banderas Bay and cruise ships that dock at a nearby terminal. The shops and restaurants of Marina Vallarta are located 500 meters from the hotel.

Tiki torches, three bars, DJs, and late night dancing create the ambience of Nikki Beach Restaurant & Bar. Pool bars, swim up bars and the lobby bar offer libations and entertainment. A business center includes six computers with high speed Internet connections.

Wireless Internet service is available in public and pool areas. Palm trees and garden islands accent four lagoon style pools. One pool caters to children, with tubes and floats available for rent. A water sports center rents watercraft and offers scuba diving instruction/excursions.

A mirrored wall fitness center contains a full range of exercise equipment, and the resort provides three lighted, artificial grass tennis courts. A health spa offers massage, body wraps and reflexology, and contains saunas, steam rooms and Swiss showers. A children's club for ages 3 12 provides three hours, daily, of complimentary supervised activities. Additional hours are available for a fee.

This resort offers 280 guestrooms and suites in a three section building. Furnished balconies or patios provide garden/partial ocean or full ocean views. Westin's signature Heavenly Beds comprise foot thick pillowtop mattresses, triple sheeting, down filled blankets and down comforters.

Heavenly Cribs and Heavenly Dog Beds are available on request. Marble bathrooms feature Heavenly Showers with dual heads and separate tubs. Décor and furnishings include terra cotta tiles and faux stone, white walls, contemporary art prints and honey colored and wrought iron furniture. High speed and wireless Internet access is available for a fee.

The resort maintains a nursery for hatching endangered turtle eggs during the nesting season. When turtles hatch, July January, guests can assist in releasing them to the sea.

    Nearby Attractions

Quiet cobblestone streets with an old-Mexico flair contrast vividly with the pulsating nightlife of Puerto Vallarta. A walk down the Malecon, the oceanfront promenade, best represents the land of contrasts that is Puerto Vallarta.

On one side, a long strip of white sandy beach, gives way to the blue waters of the Pacific, home to seasonal visits from dolphins and whales. Bordering the beach are nine sculptures, inspired by the myths and legends surrounding the ocean. On the other side of Malecon are a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants, which range from casual to upscale.
