This hotel is striking in appearance, and houses the La Plaza restaurant that is distinguished by exposed beam ceilings, an impressive chandelier and original oil paintings. The menu features international dishes and local specialties such as grilled cactus. Bar Botarel is located next to the main bullfighting arena, and exudes intimacy within its stone/brick walls, ceilings and archways.
Live music performs on weekends. High speed Internet access is available in public areas, and business amenities include fax and photocopying services. On site souvenir shops contain crafts and jewelry unique to the area, and an art gallery highlights local artisans' work. Additional hotel amenities include 24 hour reception services, guest laundry facilities and babysitting referrals.
This hotel features 49 elegant guest suites with views of a scenic courtyard and its playful fountain. Room décor features warm color schemes, carpeted floors, decorative fireplaces, hand painted headboards, antiques and original artwork. Expansive bathrooms feature oversized or spa tubs, bathrobes, slippers and Hermes bath products. Room amenities include satellite television, desks, minibars and beds with full pillow menus.

Zacatecas, the capital of the state of the same name, is called “the city with the pink stone face and silver heart.” One of Mexico’s highest cities (8,000 feet), it is squeezed into a narrow gully between two bare hills.Elegant, almost regal, and a true colonial gem, Zacatecas is one of Mexico’s most photogenic cities and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. Beautifully preserved pink stone buildings adorned with delicate wrought iron balconies line a labyrinth of spotless narrow streets that twist and turn through the city. It’s a long (seven hour) but easy drive from Mexico City, and service is available aboard deluxe buses. Mexicana offers direct flights between Zacatecas and several U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, the U.S. city with the largest Zacatecan community, Chicago and Denver, as well as destinations throughout Mexico.
