The Hotel San Michele is a restored Renaissance palace in Cortona, Italy. The historic building has served as the residence for the Marquis of Monte St. Maria family as well as the Palace of Justice in the 13th century. Situated in Cortona's ancient town center, guests can stroll through town and visit the Diocesan Museum and Etruscan Academy Museum. Arezzo is a thirty minute drive from the hotel and Siena is one hour.
Vestiges of the Hotel San Michele's former perimeter towers can be viewed in two stairwells, and original brick floors still flow throughout the hotel. Common areas feature ornate ceilings, Renaissance paintings and stone statues. The hall where breakfast is served housed the Etruscan Academy in the 1700s. The hotel's grand conference room accommodates up to 30 guests.
