The Hotel Parco San Marco is a resort hotel with a private beach set in 30,000 square metres of sub tropical parkland on the eastern end of Lake Lugano. The 82 air conditioned guest suites are brightly furnished with modern Italian decor. All are approximately 48 square metres and extend to south facing balconies or terraces with panoramic lake, mountain, and forest views. All suites comprise bedrooms, separate living rooms, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. Amenities include cable televisions, direct dial phones, wireless Internet connections, coffee/tea makers and bathrooms with showers, bidets and hair dryers.
Guests can enjoy a range of relaxing activities in the wellness centre, which houses a heated pool, a whirlpool bath, a sauna, a steam bath and a solarium, and offers aromatherapy, massage and beauty treatments. The hotel boasts 30,000 square metres of sub tropical gardens, a peaceful Buddha Pavilion and a private beach. Children are taken care of in the Bambini Club, where supervised activities such as handicrafts, painting, swimming, diving and climbing will keep them occupied for hours. The hotel offers several dining options, including the Fiorita and San Marco restaurants, and the Grottino, a 200 year old cellar restaurant with arched stone ceilings. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can exchange currency and arrange transport to and from the airport. Guests arriving by car will find garage parking facilities onsite. The hotel offers a wide range of complimentary sports and leisure activities, such as hiking, fitness sessions, archery courses, climbing and inline skating, and boating, water skiing, surfing and canoeing are on offer at the private beach. Those wishing to venture out of the resort will find Porlezza Market three kilometres away, and the tourist village of Bellaggio 15 kilometres from the hotel. Milan Malpensa airport is 100 kilometres (62 miles) away, and can be reached in around 90 minutes by car.

The Malpensa Expess rapid train runs every 30 minutes to and from Milan Cadorna railway station, the airport railway station is at the 1 level of terminal 1. The airport shuttle bus runs to and from Lugano station, which is 15 kilometres (nine miles) from the hotel. The best way of exploring Cima di Porlezza is on foot or by bicycle, which can be rented near the hotel. Hire cars are recommended for travelling further afield.
When driving from the airport head for highway 'Dei Laghi' and cross the border to Switzerland in Chiasso. Continue until Lugano Nord, drive through Ligano centre in the direction of Gandria St Moritz. In Gandria cross the border into Italy. The Hotel Parco San Marco is approximately 14 kilometres (nine miles) away from Lugano centre, and 500 metres from Cima di Poriezza.
