Description |
The little town of Corvara in the Dolomites owes everything to the pioneering spirit of the Kostner family. It started with Franz, an Alpine guide who made Val Badia accessible and built Posta Zirm Hotel back in 1908; Cesco founded the first ski school in 1934, the vanguard of Dolomiti Superski, the biggest ski district in the world; now Franesco has created a magnificent, state-of-the-art Wellness Farm in the hotel following a total rejuvenation of the property.
The hotel has a year-round appeal: skiers in winter (the lifts are just metres from the door); sightseers, hikers and cyclists who come in summer and autumn to admire the dramatic mountain scenery as well as learn about the region's history and entertaining folklore. Whilst the facilities, design and decor have caught up with the new millennium, the charm is traditional. This is a wonderful hotel that puts one totally at ease, and that can only come from a family that really loves what its doing!
