Description

Relais il Falconiere was home of a poet called Antonio Guadagnoli, who lived here for 10 years until his death in 1858. The original buildings, which date back to the 1600, were recently restored to their former glory. The current owners, Silvia and Riccardo Baracchi, were scrupulous in conserving the wonderful spirit and fabric of the house, when they transformed it into small charming hotel and elegant restaurant. Internal walls which have been frescoed, restored and original furniture and four iron poster beds, all come together to create the sensation of a family house.

The Relais il Falconiere has 19 rooms, all of them charmingly furnished with every comfort respect the style of the location; some situated in the main villa and others adjacent to the small chapel of San Girolamo. The place is ideally located for shorts trips to some of the most famous art cities of central Italy, such as Arezzo, Montepulciano and Montalcino area, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto…all within an hour’s drive away.

If you don’t have time for a full culinary week or weekend, the best option is to join to a single day cooking class. This will add a pinch of Tuscan cooking to your vacation. Our one-day cooking class will be followed by a delicious dinner with your preparations. Classes are on request, all year round except for July and August, based upon availability, for a minimum of two people. The confirmed reservation does not guarantee a private class, but a guaranteed space in the class.

Take a hands-on cooking class in our one Michelin star Restaurant, with our Chef Richard Titi, the professional staff and English interpreter. You will prepare an entire meal, from the appetizer to the dessert, with recipes based on selected fresh seasonal ingredients. Classes on specific subjects (hand-made pasta, bread or special traditional dishes for example) are also available on request.

Classes begin at 4.30 pm and last approximately 3 hours. After the lesson you will have time to relax and for a cocktail then will enjoy the wonderful meal that you helped to prepare, matched with a selection of great Tuscan wines. Each participant also receives a copy of the executed recipes and a nice apron with the restaurant logo.

There are also other activities including swimming, tennis and horse riding.
