Description |
An early 20th century Art Nouveau style building, the Regina Hotel Baglioni is located on the Via Veneto, 700 metres from Piazza di Spagna and a kilometre from the Trevi Fountain. The hotel features 143 rooms over eight floors, all of which feature decorative mouldings, silk upholstered walls, antique wood furnishings, and marble bathrooms. All rooms are air conditioned and come equipped with safes, televisions, and minibars
This stately hotel was named after Queen Margherita of Savoy, who resided here for 14 months during the renovation of her palace. The expansive entryway has vaulted ceilings and crystal chandeliers, showcasing a sweeping bronze and marble staircase and sitting areas with richly patterned furniture. The hotel features a business centre and meeting rooms for up to 80 people. The elegant Le Grazie del Canova restaurant serves Mediterranean style dishes and an American buffet breakfast is offered each morning. Located on the Via Veneto, the hotel is within walking distance of the Piazza di Spagna, location of the famous Spanish Steps, as well as the Borghese Gardens and Rome's main shopping area, all within 700 metres. Slightly further afield, the Coliseum and Vatican City are both 2.5 kilometres from the hotel. Rome Fiumicino Airport is 35 kilometres away, around 45 minutes by car.
